Steve Harmison - Learns to Bowl

This is rather worrying but i’m hoping he is just practising.  In any event I hope England do go with a couple of spinners in the Adelaide test.

This was worse than York shambles. To show my age , if Trevor Bailey and Ken Barrington were alive today they would be turning over to watch this stuff downunder. I think Trevor is still alive - apologies Trevor if you are reading this, if not dont get too upset. They could bat all day for 50 apiece and thats against Ray Lindwall and Keith Miller. Mind you Bill Lawrie, an Aussie for you youngsters, could do the same - that was real cricket.
Why do batsmen get run out ( Bell ) and stumped ( 1st Test Collingwood) when they know they are required to bat all day as Pieterson and Flintoff are brilliant but totally unreliable. I have not used their forenames, or something similar, as I am too annoyed with them.
My next door neighbour is going to Perth tomorrow ( 7 Dec. ) to see the remaining 3 Tests. He is an English supporter of course but he is well used to cricket mediocrity as he comes from Derbyshire.
You never know this could be the all time bet to make - it is worth a tenner for England to retain the Ashes ( 100-1 ). It only needs McGrath, Warne,Ponting etc to go down with some Aussie disease for the next 6 weeks and we should be OK perhaps? Showing my age again I beat the bookies when Cassius Clay “knocked out” Sonny Liston and when Southampton beat Man. Utd in 1976 to win the FA Cup. I shall give it some thought - no worse than England to win the rugby world cup next year is it?
